During the meeting, JobsOhio shared how it will continue to support Governor Mike DeWine and his administration to assist Ohio businesses with challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. JobsOhio has already taken decisive action to assist businesses and more initiatives are on the way.

JobsOhio remains committed to its renewed focus to be open, transparent and accountable. To that effort, in May of 2019, JobsOhio released the 2019 salary of J.P. Nauseef, JobsOhio president and chief investment officer as well as the compensation of the organization’s top executives. This information was released a year before it was required by statute. Today, JobsOhio is publishing the 2019 wage data for its associates, including the names and titles of its highest-paid executives. This information is being made available months earlier than the statute requires, in an effort to continue to earn the trust of partners and Ohioans across the state.

We are committed to helping companies of various sizes in our industry sectors. Large corporations have an established presence in key industries. JobsOhio uses grant and loan programs to support job creation, new capital investment and Ohio economic development. JobsOhio Financial Statements & IRS Filings

JobsOhio’s activities are accounted for on a fiscal year basis, ending June 30th of each year. These activities all fall under an enterprise fund, reporting all financial activity, assets and liabilities using the accrual basis of accounting in the same manner as with private sector businesses. JobsOhio has been recognized with GuideStar’s Platinum Seal of Transparency for 2018, the highest level of transparency recognized by GuideStar. JobsOhio received the distinction after its first submission.

Understanding JobsOhio's Funding

JobsOhio’s funding model is unlike the funding model for any economic development organization in the country in that absolutely no tax dollars or other public dollars are used to support it. JobsOhio is a private nonprofit corporation wholly funded by an independent private source – the profits from the JobsOhio Beverage System (JOBS) liquor enterprise.
