Borgers is a German automotive supplier that produces NVH (noise, vibration, and harness) materials such as trim, carpet, and insulation for commercial and passenger vehicles.
The company formed in 1866 and is a family business with a long tradition of pursuing one goal: the satisfaction of its customers. To achieve this goal, Borgers is committed to absolute reliability, pronounced service orientation, flexibility, innovative capacity, and willingness to continue improving its products.
Borgers’ company values are described by the following adjectives: reliable, sustainable, people oriented, committed, and innovative. The company is also dedicated to quality employee training and the active protection of the environment.
When the search began in 2014 for a location to build its second North American facility, Borgers USA Corp., a division of the parent company, had narrowed its search to two communities. The city of Norwalk, Ohio, offered everything the company needed, from being able to meet aggressive timing requirements, to the skilled, highly motivated workforce, to a development-ready site. Norwalk also provided an outstanding logistics infrastructure for its Midwest customers.
In 2015, Borgers USA began operations at the Norwalk facility after an initial investment of $60 million.Just a year later, the company doubled its footprint based on increasing demand and initial success. In 2018, Borgers USA moved the majority of its North American operations to Norwalk and continues to invest in its workforce and retain the confidence of its customers.
Borgers credits JobsOhio and the Norwalk Economic Development Corporation for helping to ensure the success of the company’s growth.
The Norwalk manufacturing facility continues to be a reference for the company’s other facilities worldwide.
