Aptima's goal is to hire 15 FTE over the next three years.  As part of its growth, Aptima plans to add new hires, including data scientists, software engineers, AI and machine learning experts, and industrial & organizational psychologists. The additions will expand its local workforce by 50%.

Why Ohio?

Drivers of its recent growth include a Phase III contract award which has generated more than $15 million in funding over the past year, with potential value of up to $60 million. The contract vehicle has facilitated the transition of the company’s capabilities, which include ‘adaptive learning systems,’ which personalizes learning at scale, and supports the Air Force vision for Proficiency-Based Training (PBT). These advances support the military’s goal of developing Warfighter proficiency, and maintaining readiness, through more efficient, targeted learning.A recent task order is in support of the “Simulator Common Architecture Requirements and Standards” program, or SCARS, an architecture to enable the Air Force to update the cyber security posture of its networked simulators. As the prime, Aptima is partnering with Ball Aerospace, Cubic, Leidos and L3Harris.

Aptima has built longstanding relationships throughout the military, particularly with the US Air Force. Its customers include The 711th Human Performance Wing, Air Combat Command (ACC), Air Education Training Command (AETC), among others.
