Ohio’s Global Reach to Engage Academic Talent, known as Ohio G.R.E.A.T., is a project of the Ohio Department of Higher Education. Its mission is to attract more high-achieving students to the state’s 200 public and private educational institutions.
Ohio Department of Agriculture
Ohio Department of Agriculture’s mission is to protect Ohio citizens. They ensure the safety of the state’s food supply, maintain the health of Ohio’s animals and plant life, and create economic opportunities for Ohio’s farmers, food processors, and agribusinesses.
Ohio Department of Taxation
The Ohio Department of Taxation provides the collection and administration of most state taxes, several local taxes, and the oversight of real property taxation in Ohio. The department also distributes revenue to local governments, libraries, and school districts.
Ohio Department of Natural Resources
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources ensures a balance between wise use and protection of Ohio’s natural resources. ODNR owns overs 800,000 acres of land and oversees mineral extraction, monitors dam safety, and manages water resources among other things.

The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (OBWC or BWC) provides medical and compensation benefits for work-related injuries, diseases, and deaths. It’s the exclusive provider of workers’ compensation insurance in Ohio and serves 242,000 public and private employers.
