Cleveland was Named First Summit City in 2023, followed by Cincinnati in 2024 and Columbus in 2025, presenting an opportunity to showcase the diverse innovation across the state
In recognition of Ohio's inspiring community of entrepreneurs and changemakers, Forbes selected our state to host its flagship Under 30 Summit through 2025, starting with Cleveland as the first host city in 2023.
The Forbes Under 30 list recognizes and uplifts entrepreneurship worldwide with a 365-day global platform elevated by live summits that bring the business leaders of tomorrow together for networking, inspiration, and learning. Cleveland will host this invigorating event in 2023, followed by Cincinnati in 2024 and Columbus in 2025, providing Ohio the opportunity to showcase how the state is attracting, retaining, expanding business, and spurring innovation.
"Forbes chose Ohio for its iconic Under 30 Summits because of the talented Ohioans who have driven economic momentum and innovation in the state," said J.P. Nauseef, JobsOhio president and CEO. "There's a reason that Ohio is now known as the "Silicon Heartland" - companies big and small are coming to Ohio to tap into our technological advancements and deep talent pool."
Ohio stands at the forefront of America's Renaissance of technology, infrastructure, and industrial manufacturing, supporting a new generation of electric vehicles to cutting-edge computer chips and building on its rich history of innovation and entrepreneurship. The Forbes Under 30 Summit will bring young entrepreneurs and trailblazers from across the world to Ohio. The summit will showcase both the honorees' ingenuity and Ohio's one-of-a-kind location that top businesses and talent seek. Intel's recent decision to invest $20 billion in two new semiconductor chip factories will create tens of thousands of jobs and opportunities for new Ohioans.
"The 2023 Summit will bring together the best young minds across industries, venture capitalism, public policy, and more," said Randall Lane, Chief Content Officer of Forbes and Creator of the Under 30 Franchise. "Our goal with the next Under 30 Summit is to help spotlight Ohio's talented workforce and ample opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors. We're confident that Ohio's entrepreneurial spirit will be felt on the world's main stage."
The Under 30 Summit is part of the robust lineup of Forbes' 2023 tentpole events designed to drive progress in business, culture, and society. Forbes' global Under 30 alumni network comprises more than 10,000 extraordinary individuals worldwide who are poised to impact the world significantly. Over the next three years, Ohio is honored to welcome the next generation of leaders.
