- Jobs committed: 75
Capital Investment: $7,450,000
Company Need:
Satco designs, engineers, manufactures, and repairs unit load devices (ULD) and equipment for commercial aircrafts used by companies such as FedEx, UPS, DHL and Amazon. The company sought to establish a maintenance and assembly operation for its air cargo equipment and ULD products.
Why Ohio?
Satco chose Miami Township, for the expansion. The location will help it serve its customers at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) and the surrounding area.
In addition to the building’s proximity to CVG, Satco credited its distance from other airports in Wilmington, Dayton and Columbus as well as the move-in ready quality of the building for the company’s choice.
Ohio has seven commercial air carrier airports and 97 general aviation airports. Many of these airports serve UPS, DHL, FedEx and the U.S. Postal Service, which have six distribution and processing hubs in Ohio – more than any other Midwest state.
