Founded in 1979, Nova Steel has evolved into a diversified, value-added manufacturer of steel products with nine operations across North America. To enhance continued growth, the company sought location for a new steel tub and structural support manufacturing plant that also provides easy access to North American steel industry hubs.
“We are very excited to be back in the United States with a tube and pipe production facility. This strategic location in northwest Ohio will help us serve our existing customer base more effectively and allow us to grow our business geographically”. - Scott Jones, CEO, Nova Steel
Nova Steel chose Delta in northwest Ohio for the investment and construction of a 200,000-square-foot plant. The primary advantage for Nova Steel investing in Ohio is a central location in the steel marketplace.
Ohio has been No. 2 in the nation in raw steel production every year within the last decade, annually pouring anywhere from 6.6 to 16.1 million tons, or 10.1% to 14.9% of the total U.S. output.
The state’s transportation assets, including rail and the heavy load limits on highways and the availability of land, resulted in a compelling Ohio advantage.
