Techmetals will expand manufacturing operations and add $1 million in new equipment to its Dayton facility. The company will expand manufacturing operations to pivot to add new capacity in the medical industry and build its Nadcap-accredited aviation and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)Repair Station base.
Ohio’s manufacturing sector employs nearly 700,000 skilled individuals, the third-largest manufacturing workforce in the U.S. The state also has dozens of trade schools, technical centers, and job training and certification programs, as well as colleges and universities specializing in current and rising manufacturing needs.
The company is the recipient of a JobsOhio workforce grant, which will be used to train employees on a 5-Axis grinder machine and a new coating technology for new aviation, defense, and medical work. The grant will also support the high-demand certified electroplater finisher training.
