Tractor Supply Co.’s existing Midwest operations are overwhelmed, and the company needs to keep up with existing demand. To expand its retail presence, Tractor Supply Co. sought to open another Midwest distribution center.
“Tractor Supply is excited to begin work on our ninth distribution center, and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with the Navarre community. In support of our Life Out Here Strategy, this new distribution center is a significant investment to help serve our growing store base and online sales as we build a strong, relevant company for the future. We appreciate the support of the many state and local officials who have worked extensively to establish a business climate in which everyone can prosper.” - Hal Lawton, president CEO, Tractor Supply
Tractor Supply plans to build an 875,000-square-foot facility in Northeast Ohio, drawn by the easy access to workforce talent as well as exceptional transportation and logistics efficiencies in Ohio.
In 2019, CNBC placed Ohio among the top ten best states for business because of its infrastructure and logistics capabilities. Ohio has the fourth largest interstate highway system in the nation and 60% of United States and Canadian customers are within a day’s drive, which makes Ohio ideal for road transport.
