Company Need:

Voss Industries, one of the world’s leading suppliers of highly engineered products for aerospace, defense and various industries, needed to find a larger, more efficient manufacturing space for long-term growth in Ohio. The Cleveland-based company wanted to stay in Northeast Ohio, which would allow it to continue to leverage the region’s skilled and loyal workforce.

Why Ohio?

The city of Berea collaborated with Team NEO and JobsOhio to find Voss a vacant building on 16 acres in Berea suitable for the company’s growth needs. The 95,000-square-foot plant will provide a modern manufacturing facility to meet customer demand. The company values Ohio’s educated and skilled workforce and is instrumental in providing vocational training throughout the region to continue to develop the strong manufacturing talent pipeline.

Voss Industries was approved for a JobsOhio Revitalization Grant and a JobsOhio Economic Development Grant to offset the cost of building improvement and equipment purchases. The company estimates it will generate several million in additional annual payroll and plans to add up to 58 additional jobs over the next several years in addition to its existing 300 associates.
