The 2017 Ohio Conference on Freight – Freight 2.0: The Rise of Smart Logistics took place in Columbus, Ohio, August 2 through 4, and JobsOhio was a presenting sponsor. At the conference, experts in supply chain management and logistics gathered to discuss the innovations, technologies, policies and economic developments affecting the current state of the transportation industry and where it is headed.

Smart transportation, infrastructure - fiber, sensors and testing facilities to support transportation - policies favoring logistics technology and the use of technology in freight planning were some of the topics discussed at the conference. If logistics needs to keep improving on its promise of cost-effectiveness and speed, without tech the industry cannot deliver. Ohio has the infrastructure and resources for state-of-the-art logistics operations.

The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) put together a brochure of quick facts and infographics about Ohio’s freight for attendees of the Freight 2.0 Conference. To find out more about Ohio logistics and where it is heading, see the below brochure: “Ohio’s Freight Story & Opportunities.”
