Company Need:
The slab casting facility will produce 220 million lbs/year of ultra-low carbon aluminum rolling slab, prioritizing alloys for beverage, packaging, and auto industries. It will feature higher recycled content than otherwise available in the market.
The advanced scrap processing operation, expanding from MetalX's Indiana base, enhances separation and shredding for slab facility consumption and third-party aluminum consumers.

Metal X chose Defiance because that site met all key criteria for the project, including transportation, rail access, proximity to sources of scrap supply and customers, and a strong workforce development environment.
