A Foundation of Trusts Yields Results
Author Stephen M.R. Covey argues that trust is the “one thing that changes everything” when it comes to building personal and professional success. In The Speed of Trust, he explores the concept of trust as a fundamental building block that impacts productivity, collaboration, and overall success. Since JobsOhio was established in 2011, a foundation of trust has been built with our Team Ohio economic development partners throughout the state and the companies we work with across 10 industry sectors.
At JobsOhio, we’ve established a foundation of trust by:
- Achieving industry-leading transparency recognition by voluntarily undergoing third-party reviews by Candid and the Standards of Excellence Institute.
- Partaking in an annual compliance and control review by the Ohio Auditor of the State’s Office, resulting in zero material findings during JobsOhio’s history.
- Helping more than 3,300 companies seamlessly achieve their business growth goals by protecting their confidential information and reducing red tape, while demonstrating a commitment to their long-term success. These partnerships have led to a world-class net promoter score of over 80 for five consecutive years, putting us in the same class as Apple, Tesla, and Costco.
- Collaboratively working alongside seven JobsOhio regional network partners to overcome regional challenges and drive economic development success in every area of the state.
- Bestowing trust in the JobsOhio board of directors and the compensation policy they’ve implemented to ensure JobsOhio offers competitive salaries in the hiring of best-in-class economic development professionals.
These factors have been instrumental in accelerating Ohio’s economic development and setting the stage for a prosperous future for all Ohioans.
JobsOhio works hard for the state that we love, and this hard work has led to some big results. Over the past 14 years, we’ve shattered records for completed projects (4,215), new jobs commitments (297,771), new payroll ($15.99B), and capital investment in Ohio ($136.87B).
We also pride ourselves on being transparent about how we got here. This includes ongoing third-party reviews from organizations like Candid, who have awarded JobsOhio the Platinum Seal of Transparency, their most prestigious recognition for non-profits, for seven consecutive years.
Our people are our biggest asset. This comprises our employees, but even more, it is all of Team Ohio. Together, we’ll continue to tirelessly compete for business investments that directly support Ohioans and their families.
We fundamentally understand the importance of trust – it truly has been the one thing that has changed everything for the state’s economic vitality.
