We reaffirm our commitment to Ohio. Since 2015, AWS has invested more than $10.3 billion in Ohio and currently supports more than 4,760 jobs annually.
Where are Ohio’s data centers?
Ohio has data centers in 66 of its 88 counties, and efforts are underway to distribute data centers across additional counties. Franklin and Cuyahoga Counties have the highest concentration of data centers, followed by Hamilton County. Counties neighboring Franklin, Cuyahoga, and Hamilton, along with northwestern Ohio, are seeing growth.
What are the benefits of having a data center in my community?
Communities benefit significantly from these developments, as data centers often partake in extensive corporate social responsibility initiatives, contributing to education, infrastructure, and workforce development. This holistic growth underscores data centers' pivotal role in transforming Ohio into a thriving locus of digital industry and community development. Companies are also investing in the communities in which they reside by contributing to workforce development programs, schools, training centers, and other initiatives with the goal of being good corporate citizens.
