Company will invest $19 Million and Create 60 new jobs

An advanced manufacturing company has announced plans to expand operations into Northwest Ohio, bringing a significant new investment and jobs to Putnam County.

Luxorion Plastics, LLC will invest $19 million to construct a 45,000 square-foot facility in Putnam County. This new project in Leipsic is expected to create 60 new jobs.

Company representatives said increased demand leading to new contracts has driven the need for additional manufacturing capacity. Northwest Ohio’s central location in the Midwest market as well as its rail and highway infrastructure were key factors in the company’s decision to locate a new facility in Putnam County. The company also credited the coordinated approach of local and state economic development teams in helping secure the right property for the project.

We are excited to welcome Luxorion Plastics to Leipsic. This investment and the creation of new jobs are a strong vote of confidence in Putnam County, our workforce and the advantages Northwest Ohio offers manufacturers. This project is also an example of what can happen when we work together with our regional and state partners to understand a company’s needs and move a project forward. We look forward to supporting Luxorion’s growth and success for many years to come,” said Amy Sealts, Director of Economic Development at the Putnam County Community Improvement Corporation.
