DAYTON, Ohio (June 24, 2026) – Breeze Airways, the high-value, low-cost airline combining affordable fares and modern amenities for a Seriously Nice™ travel experience, today announced the addition of Dayton to the Breeze network with 4 new routes.
Beginning today, Dayton travelers can book flights on Breeze from DAY to:
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (nonstop on Mondays and Fridays starting October 9);
Fort Myers, Fla. (nonstop on Mondays and Fridays starting October 23);
Sarasota-Bradenton, Fla. (one-stop, no-change-of-plane BreezeThru service on Mondays and Fridays starting November 6); and
Raleigh-Durham, N.C. (nonstop on Mondays and Fridays starting November 6).
Adding service to four great destinations in Florida and North Carolina will give the community in Dayton greater convenience and affordability,” said David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ founder and CEO. “With the addition of Dayton, Breeze will now serve four airports in Ohio, and we are happy to continue expanding our service in the Buckeye State.
The addition of these Breeze routes was made possible by the combined efforts of Dayton International Airport, JobsOhio, and the Dayton Development Coalition, as well as community partners CareSource, Montgomery County, and the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce.
Breeze’s new routes from Dayton to markets in Florida and North Carolina links our workers, businesses, and leisure travelers to more customers and markets,” said Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. “Congratulations to Breeze and the local and regional partners whose hard work attracted these new routes to Dayton.
Dayton International Airport offers a fast, smooth, and welcoming hometown airport experience, and its adjacency to multiple major highways makes it Western Ohio’s most convenient and travel-friendly airport.
We welcome Breeze Airways’ decision to make Dayton International the fourth Ohio airport with its service, which reflects how this market continues to grow,” said JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef. “These new flights recover additional capacity that was lost during the pandemic, which is essential to continued economic growth in the region, and we thank the Dayton Development Coalition, Dayton Area Chamber and CareSource for their collaboration in attracting Breeze to the region.
Breeze’s relationship with Ohio airports began in 2021 through the JobsOhio Air Service Restoration Program with service to Columbus and Akron-Canton. Since that time, JobsOhio has incentivized 26 new Breeze routes in Ohio. In addition to the incentivized flights, Breeze has added 15 routes statewide to better serve Ohio travelers.
Adding four destinations is a significant vote of confidence in Dayton International Airport and the community we serve," said Gil Turner, Director, Department of Aviation, Dayton International Airport. "These new connections to Florida and North Carolina open up valuable options for our travelers, whether they're heading south for a getaway or making the trip home to family. It's also a meaningful step for our region's economic growth, as strong air service continues to drive business investment and quality of life. We're glad to welcome Breeze to DAY and excited for what this partnership means for our future.
