New location will expand capacity to serve advanced manufacturing projects and nearly double the companyās local workforce
Columbus, OH ā Every building and critical facility depends on complex networks of piping and ductwork to operate. John W. Danforth Company builds those systems. The company will expand that work in Dublin, relocating to a larger manufacturing and operations facility.
The relocation will create 80 jobs representing $8 million in new annual payroll. Those positions will join 83 employees already based in Dublin. Danforth will also invest $850,000 in machinery and equipment for the new facility.Ā
Danforthās mechanical systems heat and cool buildings while maintaining proper ventilation. In manufacturing facilities, specialized piping moves the liquids and gases required for production. The company serves projects where those systems must meet demanding standards for safety and precision.
The decision to open our Ohio office was an important step for us, and we couldnāt be happier with the results,ā said Alex Grant, Executive Vice President of Danforthās Ohio operations. āOur growth in Ohio has been the result of building the right team, the right partnerships and, most important, delivering for our customers. Weāre excited to continue our growth in Dublin and look forward to what the future holds.Ā
For more than 140 years, Danforth has combined planning with fabrication and field installation. Its teams first map mechanical systems digitally. Skilled tradespeople then manufacture pipe and duct assemblies in controlled shops before the components are transported to project sites for installation.
This approach gives Danforth greater control over quality and project schedules. That capability is especially valuable in advanced manufacturing facilities, where highly engineered mechanical systems must be operating reliably before production can begin.
The new Dublin facility will increase Danforthās manufacturing and operational capacity as advanced industries continue to invest across Ohio. Those projects generate demand for specialized contractors that can turn complex plans into working production facilities.
Modern manufacturing requires a deep bench of companies that can build the infrastructure inside the factory,ā said Jonas Peterson, chief economic development officer and president of One Columbus. āDanforthās expansion strengthens that bench across the Columbus Region. It also shows how major manufacturing investments generate growth throughout the supply chain and create high-value careers far beyond a single project.
Danforth employs more than 1,100 office professionals and union trades workers across Ohio, New York, Vermont, and other select strategic markets.
Ohioās manufacturing momentum is creating sustained demand for the specialized companies that turn complex plans into operating facilities,ā said JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef. āDanforth brings more than a century of mechanical contracting expertise to that work. Its expansion strengthens Ohioās industrial supply chain and our ability to deliver major projects with Ohio talent.
