Vertiv, a global leader in digital infrastructure, needed to strengthen its engineering, services, sales, and project execution functions while increasing manufacturing capacity for the thermal management systems critical to AI and traditional computing.
With more than 60 years of experience in Ohio, Vertiv had an established workforce and operations on which to build.
The Solution
In March 2026, Vertiv announced plans to invest approximately $50 million to expand its U.S. headquarters campus in Westerville and its manufacturing facility in Ironton, creating up to 730 new jobs in Ohio through 2029.
In 2022, the company relocated its U.S. corporate headquarters to Westerville, creating a three-building campus designed to improve employee collaboration. The latest investment builds on Vertiv's longstanding commitment to Ohio by expanding key business functions at the Westerville campus and adding capacity and upgrading facilities and machinery in Ironton.

Economic Impact: The project will strengthen Vertiv's headquarters and manufacturing operations in two Ohio communities. In Ironton, expanded production will create opportunities across mechanical, electrical, assembly, quality, maintenance, production, and supervisory roles.
