Who Are We?
Find Your Ohio (FYO) is JobsOhio’s national talent attraction program that was launched in March 2020. The program is designed to address talent shortages that Ohio industries are facing in critical disciplines, such as technology, engineering, healthcare, and more. FYO proactively drives in demand talent to the state by matching candidate resumes with openings at Ohio employers. FYO’s target audience is out-of-state talent that has the education and experience necessary to fill in-demand job occupations with a special emphasis on boomerang talent returning to Ohio, transitioning military members, and veterans.
How Can We Help You?
The FYO team joins the Ohio Department of Veteran Services (ODVS) and the JobsOhio military and federal sector as they attend military base career events with organizations like Hiring Our Heroes and Recruit Military to connect transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses with opportunities in Ohio. For the last few years, the FYO team has attended events at various bases across the country. One of the values of working with the FYO team is that they can help bridge the gap of transitioning service members and veterans by aligning their military experience to civilian opportunities on their behalf.
Actively engaging with FYO can benefit employers in several ways. Employers gain immediate access to a pool of qualified, in-demand candidates within an intuitive database. Employers will save on recruitment marketing costs while still benefiting from the results of a fully funded, always on, integrated marketing approach. For every candidate hired from FYO, employers will be eligible for one of FYO’s placement awards, which can include promotional marketing campaigns, co-branded recruitment assets, and more.
Join the FYO Program
There is no cost for employers to participate, and it is easy to join the FYO program. Once onboarded, you will only need to provide a logo, career page URL, and a brief company overview to be featured on the FYO website. You can then search for and access candidates in the system or you can request assistance from our FYO staff to proactively suggest candidates based on your hiring criteria. Employers are also free to contact, interview, and hire candidates directly.
