The Challenge
Great Day Improvements has grown from a pair of Cleveland-founded brands into one of the nation’s largest home improvement companies, serving customers across more than 125 metropolitan markets.
As the company’s footprint expanded nationally, Great Day faced increasing demand for its products and services across multiple business lines, including windows, home exteriors, patio enclosures, and bath remodeling.
To support its next phase of growth, the company needed additional production capacity, enhanced operational support, and room to scale its workforce while maintaining the customer experience and craftsmanship that helped build its reputation.
The Solution
Rather than relocate, Great Day chose to continue investing in the state where the company’s story began.
With support from JobsOhio, REDI Cincinnati, Team NEO, and state and local partners, Great Day launched a statewide plan to expand operations across both Northeast and Southwest Ohio. The expansion would create 995 new jobs over five years in the Cincinnati and Cleveland areas (583 in Sharonville and 412 across Walton Hills, Bedford, and Twinsburg) while strengthening the company’s manufacturing, logistics, and business support functions across multiple locations.
Several factors contributed to Great Day’s decision to remain and expand in Ohio:
A strong pipeline of manufacturing, skilled trades, and operations talent
An existing operational framework and long-standing community partnerships across the state
Strategic access to customers and distribution networks throughout North America
Collaborative support from statewide and regional economic development organizations
The ability to align manufacturing, corporate services, and logistics operations in close proximity to each other

Economic Impact
Great Day’s expansion represented one of the largest recent job creation announcements in Ohio’s home improvement and building products sector.
By adding nearly 1,000 jobs, Great Day is accelerating growth in communities throughout Cleveland and Cincinnati, while creating new opportunities in manufacturing, skilled trades, operations, leadership, and corporate services. This growth also supports a broader network of suppliers, contractors, logistics providers, and service partners connected to Ohio’s manufacturing economy.
Great Day’s investment also reinforces Ohio’s role in supporting fast-growing companies that are scaling nationally while remaining rooted in the communities where they were built.
