The Need
As part of an effort to strengthen its presence in the North American market, Picanova Inc., the
U.S. subsidiary of The Customization Group (TCG), sought to expand its operations by
establishing a centralized hub that would enhance production capacity and allow for more
efficient product delivery.
TCG is a world leader in customized wall décor and lifestyle products. TCG boasts manufacturing
sites in the United States, Germany, Poland, and Latvia, with a combined daily production
capacity of over 500,000 customized products, which are sold to customers in 170 countries
through its 20+ online shops and 1,000+ partner stores.
The Solution
Picanova opted to relocate its Miami, Florida, facility to central Ohio. (The company’s facility in
Phoenix, Arizona, remains fully operational and continues to play a vital role in supporting
production and distribution across the western United States.)
The move represented a significant investment in long-term scalability and service excellence.
By leveraging advanced technology and supply chain advantages, optimizing workflow and
committing to sustainability, Picanova better positioned itself for future growth.
Key factors in choosing Ohio included:
Ohio’s centralized location—a well-established base for quickly moving goods around
the globe and throughout much of the U.S. and Canada
Access to a highly trained workforce with expertise in artificial intelligence,
cybersecurity, IoT, semiconductors, analytics, and more
Ohio’s business-friendly taxes, including 0% state income tax
Proximity to Ohio’s other fast-growing industries, plus built-in supply chain advantages
that reduce cost and limit disruptions.
