BRP Manufacturing, a Lima, Ohio-based company founded in 1914, is a leading producer of high-quality rubber products, including flame- and smoke-resistant neoprene rubber and self-extinguishing EPDM. These products are critical for meeting fire safety standards across military, automotive, transportation, aerospace, and general industrial sectors. Operating from a large, technologically advanced facility, BRP employs skilled chemists and production staff, maintains a nationwide distributor network, and holds a substantial inventory ready for shipment.
A JobsOhio Small Business Grant helped BRP purchase programmable electronic technology for a lever machine that precisely slits rubber materials. This upgrade enhanced production efficiency, enabled faster software updates, and provided greater flexibility for the BRP production team. The investment also allowed BRP to create five new employees while retaining 48.
The project supported BRP’s growth strategy to focus on expanding manufacturing capabilities in Lima, particularly in military, defense, and manufacturing markets. By employing new technology to stay competitive and meet evolving customer needs, the company will continue its century-long tradition of integrity and craftsmanship and reinforce BRP’s leadership in the rubber manufacturing industry.
