The first official “Welcoming City”, Dayton and western Ohio embrace newcomers and longtime residents alike. Referred to as the Birthplace of Aviation because it was home to Wilbur and Orville Wright, who invented and flew the first aircraft, Dayton has been globally recognized for aerospace, aviation, and innovation through businesses and collaboration with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. While you’re not working, you can explore all the great things that make the Dayton region a great place to live. Western Ohio offers a life you'll love with hundreds of parks and riverfront areas, with 300 miles of hiking trails, 400 miles of state and nationally designated water trails, and the nation’s largest paved trail network as well as a vibrant art scene, the National Museum of the United States Air Force, and plenty of exciting culinary options.

But life outside the city is booming, too. Site Selection Magazine named Sidney, Greenville, and Celina as the country’s Top Micropolitan Areas in 2022, and Ohio is home to more communities on that list than any other state. The growth opportunities in the area can be found everywhere thanks to the presence of and investment by companies like Speedway, Caresource, Winnsupply, and others.
